Prentiss Anderson

From Toledo Ohio Prentiss Anderson aka PRENTISS began his career with The Del-Rios in 1958 Al Bell at STAX Records. He then joined the group known as Lee and The Leopards recording for BERRY GORDY JR. “Come Into My Palace” the second single release on GORDY Records in 1962. 

Lee and The Leopards also recorded “ Don’t Press Your Luck” for FORTUNE Records and ”The Gypsy Said” for Fred Kelly at KZ Records in 65. PRENTISS remained as a staff music writer for MOTOWN Records up until the company sold to POLYGRAM in the early 90’s writing songs for Smokey Robinson and The Miracles among others. While living in LOS ANGELES he wrote & producer for Lee Rogers and Cardella DeMilo at D-TOWN Records. 

He was the background singer and tour manager for Eddie Kendricks from the original TEMPTATIONS. PRENTISS appears on “FOR MY LOVE“ a Jose Feliciano RCA album as a backup vocalist. PRENTISS was road manager for UNIVERSAL recording artist LIL D and he currently arranged and wrote music for the GRAMMY winning RANCE ALLEN GROUP. 

Life long friend Bob Bogart and Prentiss Anderson are now teaming up to release music on Bogarts independent record label BOGART Records. First single "I'm So Glad Its Christmas" which will be followed by a Gospel recording some time late January.
